As the Year of the Dragon unfolds, Chengdu dons a festive robe, and I set out to capture the city’s vibrant spirit. My lens ventured into Taikooli, People’s Park, DongMenShiJi market, Jinli ancient street and TongHuiMen where the enchanting decorations, especially the dragon-shaped lanterns, took center stage.
In the heart of Chengdu, People’s Park transformed into a realm of dragon-inspired wonders. The air was alive with the hues of red and gold as intricate dragon lanterns gracefully adorned the park’s pathways. Each step became a journey through a mythical landscape, where tradition met modern craftsmanship.
TongHuiMen, a Chinese traditional gate entrance to QinTaiLu, an avenue dedicated to luxury, with its dynamic energy, embraced the Year of the Dragon with open arms. To mark this auspicious occasion, two grand dragon-shaped lanterns adorned the pillars of TongHuiMen, casting a luminous glow that welcomed visitors into the opulent embrace of QinTaiLu. The intricate design of these lanterns not only celebrated the festive spirit but also symbolized the prosperity and strength associated with the Year of the Dragon. As dusk fell, the dragons came to life, their silhouettes dancing against the evening sky, adding a touch of mythical allure to the bustling energy of Chengdu’s luxury avenue.
Finally, a breathtaking sculpture gracing the courtyard of the luxurious Louis Vuitton store at Taikooli. A magnificent dragon, meticulously crafted, becomes a symbol of strength, fortune, and cultural richness.
